Large copy of the part whole model also included to use for demonstrating the task or for children to use during child initiated learning. When I used these resources I gave the children small paper counters to stick in the bottom circle to demonstrate number bonds.

Multipurpose maths and literacy resource for use in both Nursery, Reception and Year 1. The ‘Say it, Make it, Write it’ resource can be used for a range of literacy or maths based tasks. Some ideas are: Name written out for child for them to practice saying, they make out of magnet letters and then practice writing. A word card for them to read from, they make out of magnet letters and then practice writing. Number given, child make on on tens frame using playdough or small toys, then practise writing. Number sentence given, make answer using counters and then write answer.

This ‘roll it, write it, count it’ sheet can be used in Nursery, Reception and Year One. Children roll 1, 2 or however many dice, add the dots together, write that number and then count out that number of objects. Covers lots of different maths skills.
